Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) (also known as Mental HealthAwareness Week) was established in 1990 by the U.S. Congress in recognition of efforts by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to educate and increase awareness about mental illness.
It’s a busy week for all since it’s Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW)! We know there are lots of great things going on across the country – walks, events, etc. – so just a reminder to use the hashtag #MIAW when you post your exciting news on social media.
